The focus of the program is to restore native plants to Washington in order to support the rehabilitation of endangered species of the Pacific Northwest. In doing this, we plan to incorporate local businesses in our cause. This program will use both education and research in order to focus on the importance of plants in our ecosystem and how they can be used to protect and re-establish biodiversity on our planet to combat the effects of climate change. Lastly, we will work to remove invasive species and replant native ones both on private and public land while educating local gardeners and landscapers about endemic plants to choose for the environment and pollinators.
We will achieve this by first beginning with large plants and landscaping activities and then moving to local plants shops in communities. We are in conversation with local nurseries as to developing a partnership for this program. We plan to encourage consumers to plant year round flowering plants that are endemic or native to Washington state and to stop buying the seeds of invasive plants.

Steward Empowerment Through Education Project (SEE Project)
Timeline: Within 2-5 years

The SEE Project is an exciting journey through the lower 48 states that aims to boost the confidence and connectedness of environmentalists. The goal of the project is to travel to communities around the country and inspire individuals to explore the beauty of their local ecosystems, and to use education as a tool to make scientific research more accessible and understandable to the public. Through educational evenings, volunteer days, and other events, the SEE Project would connect people with local environmental organizations and to their ecosystems. Additionally, CMS would work to connect similar programs and organizations we encounter throughout the journey to facilitate more collaborative and efficient research and education. The SEE Project is projected to begin in Summer 2023 and continue for three years, giving the team time to adequately prepare for such an involved project, and make real connections with the people and places they visit.

Needs: App Designer
Funding Goal: Unknown
Similarly to the SEE Project, the Conservation Made Simple App would focus on environmental community connectivity. This would be done through multiple avenues including but not limited to: citizen science opportunities, local organization events, global conference streaming, local environmental news/petitions, and ways the user can contribute to their local organizations through multiple different ways. The app itself is a simple and straightforward endeavor that has the true value in the people, organizations, and businesses that decide to use it.
Research/Conservation Stations

No one is unaware of the global environmental disasters happening daily. Between natural disasters, viruses and diseases ravaging animal populations, endangered species facing poaching and habitat loss, and Climate Change bringing uncertainty to the world, the environment faces many challenges. Many organizations aim to aid, cure, or reverse many of these issues but there always seems to be more needed in the fight for the planet. One of the founding ideas for Conservation Made Simple were these international research/conservation stations. They would fight on many of these fronts but focus on one core concept: empower and supply the local community with the ability to improve their own environment. We would work to create facilities that are designed to monitor the land for weather, disease, or environmental criminal patterns that could cause disaster; generate income through unique ways specialized for the area ranging from big fauna conservation to sustainable resource production; foster conservation projects for small, generally overlooked flora and fauna that are in peril but have huge impacts if they disappeared; and ultimately find ways to bring the plight of that area to the eyes of the world in ways that spur more sustainable and impactful solutions.
Subsidiary Organization Program

Conservation Made Simple was built on the time and effort of not only our volunteers but the hundreds of hours of consultation from larger organizations, environmental leaders, and non-profit executives who worked with us on structure and growth. During these "consultation meetings", an idea was hatched for the future Conservation Made Simple to turn around and do the same. In the short time of our organization. being recognized by both state and IRS certification, we have attempted and worked on multiple projects that may have had very different outcomes with increased support of those same organizations. Although, we are ever thankful for all their help, we have devised a plan to be much more for future projects, budding organizations, and passionate environmentalists. Due to the fact that each partnership would be extremely unique, it is hard to explain this program except through the example of this in our partnership with the Visual Ballads program.
In May of 2018, we brought Bryant and his idea of Visual Ballads under the arm of Conservation Made Simple. We worked with him and his idea to nurture it to a large impactful vision, worked on fundraising the initial funds, and supported the work of the program until he decided to branch it off on its own in January of 2020. Although we ourselves did not have the structure and infrastructure needed to grow it the same way we envision future endeavors like this, it is a great example of the idea behind this program. This could be expanded to supporting masters thesis's that would work with endangered or threatened species, short term projects that work to create impacts in their community, or even taking a group of people who are passionate about the environment and want to start an organization of their own and mentoring them...
